Are Women Really the Easier Marketing Target?

When skimming through the newspapers or magazine, how did you feel by the bewildering advertisements appealing to women ? Compared with products exclusively for men, the proportion for women is extraordinarily large. But do all of them just prove women are the easier marketing target? Do women really need those products ?

Actually I think there are some simple reasons why women could be the target group for marketers. The most important point is women love to do shopping and especially the way women love shopping is much different from how men do. Usually men only have a few things they like to shop about. For example, they shop for computer stuff, gadgets for exercises and some clothes perhaps. Men usually shop for what they want but would never be walking and shopping aimlessly.

Entirely different from men's selective shopping, women love shopping by nature. They may will navigate through the make-up counters, handbags section or clothes aisles before buying a pair of shoes they planned to. And the design of malls just meet their requirement that you have to make a full circle for the escalators to go up and down are located on opposite ends.

But honestly this is not women's fault. Millions of advertisements out there always try to let women believe that they can never have enough. But few women can realize it is brainwashing. To many women they need at least two lipsticks usually. So marketeers always come up with more and more products for women. For example, there are lipsticks with gloss, something that promise to plump up lips and even others that guarantee lasting lip color that will not leave any marks on man's collars.

Every woman who loves herself enough definitely has clothes of each season, colors and styles for the different times a year. Comparatively men come with much milder degree. A shirt and pants can be fashion for men for even half an century. Every three months, you just can find new styles to update your wardrobe and your make-up kit. Some day the flare skirt has become " in "and do you think can women hold up to not buy ? So there is no wonder why it is so easy to rake the money from women. You can say it is marketing trap that women have went in. But if you do not get in then you will leave behind. You will lose out if you do not buy that every one buys. You will be labeled as passe.

There is a point that might be neglected that men do not like to just buy for men but more for women. Men's shopping in jeweler and florist mostly could be for women. They do not care to do the boring shopping as long as women are happy. So sometimes the marketers get benefit not just from women but also pursuing the pockets of men.
